Job Purpose: Supports students in developing strong French language skills and cultural understanding within a trilingual environment. The role focuses on delivering effective instruction, fostering student engagement, and contributing to the school's mission of high-quality multilingual education.
Responsibilities : - Plan and deliver engaging French lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and international language standards.
- Develop students' proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French at the secondary level.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and culturally rich learning environment.
- Assess student progress using a variety of evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and academic performance.
- Support students in preparing for internal and external language assessments when required.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary projects and the school's trilingual model.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and extracurricular initiatives.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, French, Linguistics, or related field; teaching certification preferred. Advanced French proficiency (B2 level according to CEFR), accredited through valid international certifications (DELF or equivalent).
- Experience: 2+ years teaching at the primary level; experience in bilingual or multicultural environments is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong classroom management, effective communication, ability to create engaging lessons, digital literacy, and solid organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Best practices in language acquisition, adolescent learning needs, assessment methods, and intercultural competence.
