Teaching Assistant

This role is for 32.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday. Please note that part-time hours are not available for this role.

Location:Highfield Ely Academy, Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday 8:30am - 4:00pm, Tuesday - Friday 8:40am - 3:30pm
Salary:Grade C, £24,796 - £25,185 FTE plus retention allowance - Actual Salary £21,291.18 - £21,625.20

We are seeking a six compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a new class we are opening in September, supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities.
Provide individual and small-group support for students with diverse needs.
Promote independence and confidence in students.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

Passion for working with children with special needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
