Are you passionate about the convergence of creative industries and health and social care as an untapped key and timely innovation opportunity in Scotland?
The ShaKEs partnership is seeking a visionary Knowledge Exchange (KE) Fellow to provide academic leadership in KE to build cross-institutional collaboration and capacity across the ShaKEs partner institutions, identifying complementary strengths and bringing together academics and external partners to develop collaborative KE activities and proposals in Health and Social Care and Creative Industries, aligned with Scottish Government economic and policy priorities.
In this role, you will champion innovative methodologies that challenge traditional industry paradigms, translating applied research into interdisciplinary, disruptive outcomes for commercial, cultural and societal application. With a background in Health and Social Care or Creative Industries you will bring creativity, tenacity, and a drive for innovation to design and deliver transformative, approaches. Employed by any of the ShaKEs partner institutions but working across the collaboration and with the Digital Health and Care Innovation Centre you will act as the primary connector between internal academic teams and external partners, practice, communities, industry and policymakers.
ShaKEs is an exciting new consortium of the six smallest higher education institutions in Scotland - Abertay University, Glasgow School of Art, Queen Margaret University, Robert Gordon University, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and University of the Highlands and Islands; plus Edinburgh College, representing the college sector.
We are committed to the intersection of skills, research, innovation and place, guided by new Scottish Government Community Wealth Building (CWB) principles to secure social and environmental as well as economic outcomes, and share learning across Scotland's tertiary sector.
Funded by the Scottish Funding Council , ShaKEs aims to share and increase access to much needed fit-for-purpose specialist innovation infrastructure, providing an opportunity to further the Scottish Government innovation ambitions as outlined in the National Innovation Strategy , Entrepreneurial Campus Blueprint , National Strategy for Economic Transformation , in addition to the delivery of the wellbeing outcomes in the National Performance Framework .
