The Division of Media, Communication and Performing Arts (MCPA) seeks to appoint a Media Production Technician. The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with an established team of academics to deliver primarily undergraduate courses, with a focus on BA(Hons) Film and Media.
QMU has a long track record of delivering industry-relevant Arts degrees. Joining an established team of academics and practitioners, you would contribute to the delivery of existing modules from QMU's well-established courses to provide students with a practical, broad and employable skill set.
The successful candidate will have excellent practical knowledge and understanding of the processes for making film and be able to convey that to students in the way they support and inform their work. The postholder will provide up-to-date industry-relevant expertise in the broad area of Film and Media, with a focus on processing equipment for use, some demonstration of equipment and software, and supporting a range of student projects. Familiarity with Adobe software is preferred but you should be able to cover all aspects of the filmmaking process from pre-production through to post-production.
Applicants should have significant professional or independent practice experience and would benefit from holding a qualification in the relevant subject area.
