Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Type: Casual About the Role Lift Tamworth is looking to appoint a proactive, organised and customer-focused Lettings Officer to join our supportive and committed team.
This role plays an important part in maximising the use of our school facilities by coordinating community lettings and promoting them for external hire. As the main point of contact for hirers, you will provide an excellent customer experience while managing bookings, ensuring facilities are prepared and secure, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance.

Lift Tamworth is located in Staffordshire, within easy commuting distance of Birmingham and Derby.
Your New Role As a Lettings Officer, you will coordinate all aspects of the school's community lettings programme, ensuring external users receive an excellent service while helping to maximise the use of the school's facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing enquiries and acting as the main point of contact for external hirers.
- Coordinating bookings, issuing contracts and maintaining the lettings calendar.
- Liaising with school staff to ensure facilities are prepared and available for bookings.
- Opening, securing and monitoring the school site during lettings, ensuring a safe environment for all users.
- Carrying out routine checks before, during and after lettings and resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintaining accurate records of bookings, customer information and compliance documentation.
- Supporting the administration of invoices and payments, where applicable.
- Promoting the school's facilities and building positive relationships with community groups and local organisations.
- Monitoring customer feedback and identifying opportunities to improve and develop the lettings service.
- Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.
- Acting as the nominated first aider during lettings (training will be provided if required).
What You'll Need to Succeed We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
You will be organised, professional and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You'll be confident communicating with a wide range of people, comfortable using IT systems to manage bookings and records, and able to work independently whilst responding positively to changing situations.
You'll have a proactive approach, a commitment to safeguarding and health and safety, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with the school's lettings programme. Experience working in a customer-facing, facilities, community or school environment would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a positive attitude.
