Lead and shape a high-impact Sixth Form experience at SGS College. You will take ownership of a provision serving over 500 learners, with a clear focus on exceptional outcomes, strong progression and meaningful next steps. As a key member of the Extended Leadership Group, you will drive our Get Future Ready 2031 strategy, raising ambition, strengthening academic pathways, and ensuring every learner leaves fully prepared for university, employment or apprenticeships.
You will lead a substantial Directorate, over 30 staff and a £1m+ budget, developing a modern, integrated Sixth Form model that brings together academic and technical pathways. This includes shaping a coherent curriculum that aligns A Levels with emerging V Levels, ensuring programmes are rigorous, relevant and responsive to future skills needs. You will drive curriculum innovation, embed employer engagement, and ensure that all learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress and succeed.
Key Priorities - Lead a high-performing Sixth Form delivering strong achievement, high grades and excellent progression outcomes
- Design an ambitious, integrated curriculum across A Levels and V Levels
- Drive curriculum development and innovation, ensuring provision remains current and future-focused
- Embed employer engagement and industry relevance within study programmes
- Secure outstanding teaching, learning and assessment
- Champion inclusion and access, ensuring all learners, including those with SEND, thrive
- Use data and student voice to continuously refine curriculum and outcomes
- Build a culture of high expectations, attendance and participation
- Lead and develop a team of 30+ staff to deliver exceptional student experiences
