Safeguarding | Use data, insight and systems expertise to strengthen safeguarding practice across two schools within a complex and caring educational environment.
Wellington College is a dynamic, ambitious and values-led community, educating pupils in both boarding and day settings and committed to excellence in every aspect of school life. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, our 400 acre estate is a unique and inspiring place to work. This role also works closely with Wellington College Prep, which is situated within the College grounds in Sandhurst.
We are seeking a Safeguarding Data Analyst & Administrator to play a pivotal role in strengthening safeguarding practice across Wellington College and Wellington College Prep. This is a highly trusted position, combining advanced data analysis with operational safeguarding administration, enabling safeguarding leaders to make informed, timely and evidence-based decisions that support pupil welfare.
This is a term‑time plus role, working 25 hours per week for 36 weeks per year, making it well suited to candidates seeking a part‑time position aligned to the school year.
Working across both schools, you will lead on safeguarding data management, analysis and reporting, ensuring systems are robust, accurate and insightful. You will design and maintain dashboards and reports that identify trends, emerging risks and areas for intervention, translating complex data into clear and accessible information for safeguarding leads, senior leaders and governors. You will also support the development of more efficient processes through automation and improved data workflows, helping to reduce manual workload while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
Alongside the analytical focus, the role provides essential safeguarding administration and coordination. You will support the management of safeguarding systems, training records and compliance monitoring, ensuring statutory requirements are met and audit-ready. The post holder will work closely with the Safeguarding Manager and Designated Safeguarding Leads, providing professional, discreet and highly organised administrative support within a busy and sensitive safeguarding environment.
Working in a school environment offers a unique sense of purpose and community. You will be supported with training, development and opportunities to grow your skills, and you’ll work alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent service to every member of the Wellington community.
This role would suit an individual with strong data analysis skills, excellent attention to detail and sound judgement, who is comfortable handling sensitive information and motivated by making a meaningful contribution to safeguarding outcomes through data-informed practice.
