An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join the QMU Finance Department.
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance Office and will be the first point of contact for students and staff, providing a professional and friendly service while contributing to the delivery of high-quality financial support across the organisation.
In this varied position, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and financial tasks, including cashiering, credit control, and accounts payable. You will be processing journals, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting the wider Finance team with ongoing tasks to ensure efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, numerate, and attentive to detail, with strong communication skills and experience in a customer-facing or financial role. You should be able to manage priorities effectively, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and keen to develop knowledge and use of financial systems and excel.
