With Ofsted recognising the outstanding practice in place for Behaviour and Attitudes, Safeguarding and Personal Development, our students are in safe hands with regards to expert support. Humberston Academy achieved 'World Class Schools' status in December 2019 and re-accredited in 2022. Humberston Academy continues to deliver incredible opportunities to young people with a specific focus on STEM enrichment and favourable links to the apprenticeships industry as well as traditional route towards higher education.

About the role Provide a role model for the academy in setting professional standards and showcasing relational practice
To be pro-active with regards to safeguarding within the Academy
To line manage a Head of Year and quality assure systems for a specific year group
Be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of a key group of students
Promote high expectations of student behaviour
Ensure training supports priorities within the academy
Lead and co-ordinate the systems and responsibilities assigned
Use data to inform the strategic deployment of areas responsible for
Set appropriate challenging targets for all colleagues' line managed
Support your HOY with the delivery of assemblies, line-ups, events as required
Review areas of responsibilities within the Academy Improvement Plan
Prepare for and attend all review meetings with the Principal/ Vice Principal
Support and lead relevant school events within the academic year as applicable.
Support the management of behaviour for all students (particularly in your year group assigned)
Ensure a positive climate for learning is promoted throughout the Academy.
Lead on a whole school area for improvement giving evidence of impact and outcomes which mutually meets the needs of the applicant and Humberston Academy.
Review all policies and procedures that you are responsible for.
Provide and support effective communication with stakeholders (including parents/ carers, governors, external agencies).
To proactive on your leadership duties at break and lunch times for your assigned areas.
