Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Interview Date: Friday 24 th April 2026 Are you an experienced Attendance Manager ready to have greater impact? At Lipson, we believe education transforms lives - and excellent attendance is fundamental to making that happen. Every day in school matters. Every lesson counts. Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.
We are looking for a skilled attendance professional who understands the realities of improving attendance - analysing data, working with families, tackling persistent absence and navigating complex safeguarding situations.
This is not a traditional school admin role. We are looking for someone who brings professional expertise in attendance improvement - someone confident in analysing absence patterns, managing complex cases and working directly with families and external agencies to remove barriers to education.
You will take
ownership of our attendance systems and processes, using your professional judgement to identify concerns, intervene early and coordinate support for students and families.
At Lipson, attendance improvement is a whole-school priority led by senior leadership. You will work closely with pastoral leaders and safeguarding teams and will have the support and backing needed to address complex absence issues effectively.
This role is ideal for someone who - Currently works as an Attendance Officer, Manager or Lead
- Wants greater professional recognition and influence
- Enjoys working directly with families, pastoral teams and external agencies
- Is confident managing persistent absence and complex attendance cases
- Wants to work in a school where attendance is taken seriously by senior leaders
