The Role:- As a Trustee, your contribution will help ensure ALT remains a strong, ethical and ambitious Trust where pupils and staff flourish.
- Provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge to the Executive Leadership Team
- Share collective responsibility for the Board's statutory and fiduciary duties.
- Help shape and oversee the Trust's long-term vision and priorities
- Support continuous improvement across our schools
The Commitment
As a Trustee, you would be required to participate in the following:
Board meetings - Three in-person meetings and one online meeting per year
Committee membership - One specialist committee (Audit & Risk, Standards, or Remuneration), meeting online three times per year.
Strategy & learning - Participation in the annual Trust strategy day and governance conference.
Values leadership - Modelling and championing ALT's values across all governance activity.
How to applyWe believe that strong governance depends on diverse perspectives, so we warmly welcome applications from all backgrounds, particularly those currently underrepresented in governance. You do not need prior trustee experience to apply. What matters most is that you share our values , our curiosity, and our willingness to learn.
