At Wellington College, we are seeking a committed and organised Housekeeper to join our Domestic Services team. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, our 400 acre estate provides a distinctive and inspiring place to work. Working closely with the House Matron and wider boarding colleagues, you will help support the welfare and day-to-day experience of pupils, contributing to a welcoming and well-managed boarding environment where high standards of care, organisation and professionalism are maintained.
This is a varied and rewarding position suited to someone who enjoys working with young people and takes pride in delivering excellent service. The role combines practical housekeeping responsibilities with pastoral support, helping to ensure pupils are well prepared for the day, appropriately supported and able to thrive within the boarding community. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Health Centre, Cleaning, Laundry and wider boarding teams, playing an important part in the smooth day-to-day operation of the house.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail. You will be comfortable maintaining accurate records, following procedures consistently and responding calmly in a busy environment. An understanding of safeguarding, pupil welfare and professional confidentiality is essential, together with the ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with young people.

This role is contracted for 26 hours per week and operates on a two-week rota during term time, with a separate holiday working pattern. This position is offered on a 52-week basis with a full-time equivalent salary of £29,505 per annum, pro-rated to £19,178 per annum for 26 hours per week.
