The Role To maintain designated areas in a hygienic and satisfactory condition according to Epsom College standards and assist with other facilities services i.e. car parking, room set ups.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities BOARDING HOUSES/DAY HOUSES To ensure that all common rooms are cleaned according to required College standards. To maintain all bathroom, toilet and shower areas in a hygienic condition according to required College standards. To maintain all kitchen/brewroom areas in a hygienic condition according to required College standards. To ensure that all floors are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and cleaned in accordance with College standards.
OTHER AREAS To ensure that any other areas of the College are cleaned to the required College standard as stipulated by the Saturday Supervisor.
GENERALLY To ensure that C.O.S.H.H. regulations relating to any cleaning product are adhered to. To report all defects to the Supervisor. To maintain a co-operative relationship with staff, students, housemaster/mistress and visitors to the College. To assist in any other areas of the College as may be required by the Saturday Supervisors or Head of Facilities. To attend necessary mandatory and relevant training as required by the Head of Facilities provided it can be held at a time to suit the employee. To adopt a flexible approach to the role and undertake any other reasonable task as requested by the Saturday Supervisor or designated person i.e. room set ups, car parking etc. To undertake any other reasonable task as directed by the Saturday Supervisors or Head of Facilities. To be aware of responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. To adhere to all relevant regulations. i.e. Fire Precautions, Manual Handling, C.O.S.H.H. etc. To carry out duties in accordance with safeguarding protocols and procedures. To be aware of the implications of strangers on campus and conscious of your security responsibilities.

The selection panel reserves the right to enhance any or all of the desirable criteria to attain a manageable fieldTerms and Conditions - Salary: £13.57 per hour paid when worked on timesheet
- Hours: 5 hours per week, Saturdays 8.00am and 1.00pm during term time (except Exeat weekends) and working Saturdays 8am - 1pm during the summer school holidays. Hours paid via timesheet as and when worked.
- Holidays: Statutory holiday entitlement is calculated based on the hours you have worked and have submitted for payment. The calculation is 12.07% of the hourly rate for each hour worked and the amount of holiday pay paid to you for that month of timesheet submission will be itemised on the payslip as "holiday pay".
- Pension: There is an automatic enrolment into the Epsom College Automatic Enrolment Scheme for employees who are eligible. Eligibility is based on regulatory criteria. The Scheme is administered by the Pensions Trust. The Employee will be required to contribute a minimum of 5% of Basic Salary and the College will contribute 4% in compliance with current legislation.
