Key purpose of the role To run the Pastoral Hub and support the pastoral system to ensure all students can access their learning and show positive behaviour in lessons and around school at other times. Your responsibilities
- To lead and oversee the running of Triage.
- To manage the rota and ensure high standards of behaviour are maintained in the Reset and Internal Suspension rooms.
- To ensure that the Reset and Internal Suspension rooms are resourced and function appropriately.
- To line manage the staff within the Pastoral hub.
- To liaise and communicate with parents and staff as appropriate,
- To provide daily and weekly behaviour analysis of positive and negative behaviours, highlighting patterns of behaviour to facilitate follow-up, for SLT, HOYs and the wider pastoral team.
- To maintain records to manage break 1 and 2 and after school detentions.
- To oversee and act as the principal point of contact for Host School students
- To help to implement and develop the school relationships and behaviour policy.
- To be a presence in all school areas ensuring students arrive promptly at lessons.
- To challenge students who are not in lessons promptly and/or who are avoiding going to lessons, using the school relationships and behaviour policy.
- To de-escalate challenging student behaviour
- To develop positive relationships with students and promote positive behaviour in lessons and at other unstructured times.
- Oversee intervention strategies as outlined in the stages.
- To oversee and run the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme - promoting the scheme, recruiting students, and running expeditions.
