Salary: ALT Grade C, £24,796 - £25,185
Actual Salary: £11,477.40 - £11,657.46
Hours: 20 hours per week, term-time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year) Monday to Friday 10.15am - 2.15pm.
Contract: Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting students with special needs?
Highfield Littleport Academy is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our teaching staff to support the personal care, medical needs, and well-being of our pupils, helping them thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist with non-ambulant students - manual handling, hoisting and pushing wheelchairs
- Assist with programmes of special care such as physiotherapy or hydrotherapy
- Supervise students during lunch, playtimes, and activities, ensuring a secure and positive environment.
- Prepare, maintain, and safely store equipment, reporting any issues or low stock as needed.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff, sharing information and helping new team members.
