This role is vital in supporting the continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff by supervising classes and ensuring that pre-set work is completed in a safe and supportive environment.Job title: Cover Supervisor

Contract: Fixed-Term- 31/08/2026
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Thursday - 8:00am to 4:00pm, Friday - 8:00am to 3:30pm (Includes a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes)
Salary:ALT Grade E Points 12-15, £22,432.04-£23,338.88 - Annually, Actual

Key Responsibilities Include:- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Ensure pupils remain on task with the pre-prepared work provided.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
- Collect and return completed work, reporting back as necessary.
- Support classroom preparation and resource management.
- Provide personal support for pupils, including promoting independence.
What We're Looking For:- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A professional, calm and flexible approach with the ability to work independently
