Calling all talented and passionate English subject leaders!!
Are you an expert in English education with a passion for unlocking literacy and language at scale? Due to the expansion of our central Education Team, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Secondary English Lead. This role offers the chance to lead the development and delivery of English across our secondary schools, with impact far beyond one classroom or department.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong track record of improving English outcomes in a secondary context
- Brings subject expertise and pedagogical depth, alongside a willingness to innovate
- Can work alongside English teams and school leaders to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum and teaching approaches
- Has the humility to listen and learn, and the confidence to lead and influence
- Brings energy, joy, and creativity to their work
You'll champion a love of English, while ensuring that what we teach - and how we teach it - leads to real success for every student.
We're looking for hearts-led leaders who believe in the transformative power of education - and who want to be part of something much bigger than themselves. People who want to change lives and build brighter futures for children who deserve the very best.
This is a rare chance to make your mark in an organisation where values aren't wallpaper - they're the walls.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all. Whether you're currently in a school-based role or already working across a Trust, we're looking for the right person and the right fit.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch today. Let's talk about the future you could help shape!
For an informal discussion about this exciting opportunity, please contact Duncan Low, Director of Education (duncan.low@activelearningtrust.org ).
